We strongly advise that you not make any non-cancelable commitments within 14 calendar days after booking. 6) What if Adventures by Disney Cancels my Adventure prior to departure?
Adventures by Disney reserves the right to cancel a trip at any time prior to its commencement for any reason, such as if there are too few Guests, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of the Guests would, in our opinion, be compromised, such as may result from unforeseen circumstances (acts of God) or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel your trip prior to its commencement because there are too few Guests: (i) we will attempt to re-book you on another departure of the same itinerary, subject to availability, and we will bear any reasonable airline re-booking charges; however, if we are unable to rebook you, we will issue a full refund of your land package price and Vacation Protection Plan (unless you have filed a claim); and (ii) if you booked airfare through us, we will issue a full refund of your airfare; and (iii) if you did not book airfare through us, we will reimburse you for your reasonable out-of-pocket (subject to proof) airline cancellation charges or, in the case of bookings using frequent flier miles, a reasonable cancellation service fee, provided you have exercised best efforts to mitigate such charges/fees; and (iv) the aforesaid payments and/or rebooking by us shall constitute a full settlement.

7) Is trip cancellation insurance available?
Yes. We strongly recommend the purchase of Adventures by Disney Vacation Protection Plan. Generally speaking, the Plan provides insurance coverage for trip cancellation due to medical reasons and interruption, baggage protection and delay, travel accidents and delay, and emergency medical and dental services and associated transportation. The Plan is automatically included in all reservations, but you may elect to decline coverage. If you purchase and pay for the Plan in full within 14 calendar days of making your reservation, certain pre-existing medical conditions may also be covered; however, if you purchase and pay in full for the Plan more than 14 calendar days after making your reservation (but no later than the final payment due date) pre-existing medical conditions will not be covered. Conditions and restrictions apply. Please contact a Concierge Agent for more information or to request a copy of the Plan policy.

Air transportation can be purchased from Adventures by Disney to and from your home airport in accordance with the scheduled vacation dates and to coordinate with your adventure itinerary. Please note that our Concierge Agents can only take domestic US flight reservations. Contact a Concierge Agent for details. Canadian consumers should book through their local travel agent.
9) I prefer to book my flights on my own. Are there any guidelines I need to be made aware of?

13) Are Adventure by Disney vacations appropriate for Guests with disabilities?
Certain activities on select itineraries will present challenges that may not be suitable for Guests with disabilities or special needs. Many adventures involve considerable walking, and depending on the destination, may include walking on uneven sidewalks and streets, narrow passages, and steep stairs and inclines. Adventures by Disney strongly recommends that Guests requiring assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable of, and totally responsible for, providing assistance. Neither Adventures by Disney nor our Suppliers may physically lift or assist Guests onto transportation vehicles or otherwise. Please contact a Concierge Agent to discuss your specific needs.

Our recommendation? Pack lightly. Many guests find they pack too many clothes and personal items. Each guest is restricted to one checked bag and, one personal item plus one small bag per ticketed person, as specified by your air carrier. With frequent security changes, we recommend that you check with your air carrier as well as the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) website www.tsa.gov for current restrictions

16) What can I expect the hotel rooms on my adventure to be like?
Hotel rooms vary from country to country as well as from hotel to hotel within an adventure. Most hotel rooms outside of the United States tend to be smaller than the U.S. standard. In many locations, amenities such as irons and ironing boards, coffee makers, and alarm clocks are either not allowed due to local laws or are simply not standard. Air conditioning systems in international hotels rooms are generally not as robust as those in the U.S. While we seek to choose hotels that will feel the most familiar to you, this is not always possible. Standard rooms in most European hotels are comprised of two standard-sized double beds (or a king upon request); queen-sized beds are generally not available. In many European hotels, local codes prohibit four-person occupancy in one standard-size room. We regret that it is not possible to upgrade accommodations included in the land package. Please call a Concierge Agent for detailed information or see "Note on accommodations" in the Rates & Dates section for each itinerary.

17) Are passports, visas, or other documentation required for international travel?
Depending on your country of origin and your vacation destination, passports and/or visas may be required. U.S. citizens need a passport valid for international travel and a visa is required for travel to China and Australia.
For China, all visitors are required to obtain a Tourist "L" Visa
• A Tourist Visa can be obtained by contacting the nearest Chinese Embassy (Washington D.C.) or Consulate (Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco).
• Visa applications typically take 3 to 5 working days to process. It varies, but typically your visit must begin within 90 days of the date of issue. Visas are generally valid for between 1 and 3 months of travel.
You may need to provide travel documents (tickets or travel confirmation) confirming return or onward travel.
For Australia, you may obtain your visa on the Internet, using the Australian government's Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). Apply for a Visitor ETA, which is an electronic visa that takes the place of a stamp in your passport. To apply online, visit www.eta.immi.gov.au. You may also request your travel agent or airline agent to apply for the ETA on your behalf when you book your plane ticket.
It is your sole responsibility to be sure you have the correct documentation for all travel. Allow sufficient time to have your application processed if you are applying for a new passport or renewing an expired passport. U.S. citizens refer to www.state.gov or the applicable foreign consulate for further details.

Usually, a notarized letter, signed by the parent or parents not traveling with the child and stating the child's name, adult guardian's name, itinerary, dates of travel, and flight information, is required. To ensure smooth travel, Adventures by Disney requires all travelers to comply with the regulations for the country you are visiting. This information is available from each country's consulate. Adventures by Disney is not responsible for the disruption of travel caused by improper documentation for any travelers, including children traveling without both parents. For specific documentation requirements, U.S. residents, consult www.state.gov or the applicable foreign consulate. Non-U.S. citizens, please check with your consulate. Typically, breakfast is served buffet style. Dinners and lunches usually include fish, meat, and pasta or rice entrées, vegetables along with salad, cheese, desserts and fruit. Given the nature of group travel, we regret that á la carte menu choices are usually not available. Children-friendly choices are available at all meals. Menu items are subject to change due to the availability and seasonality of foods. In order to offer you and your family a bit of time to enjoy meals amongst yourselves, there are a few meals that are not included in the itinerary. These meals have been planned in locations where you will have plenty of options available. If you have any questions or concerns about dining at any time during your vacation, your Adventure Guides will be happy to assist you.

22) How can I provide feedback about my Adventure?
We are interested in your thoughts and opinions about your experience, and invite you to share them with us. In your confirmation packet, you will receive a form that offers you an opportunity to provide us with your email address so we can email you a link to a survey conducted via our partners at Walt Disney World Research. If you complete the form and provide us with your email address, you will receive this link to a survey shortly after returning home from your adventure. 23) How do I find a trip that is right for me?
Please review the itinerary information, activity level and accommodation details as well as destination-specific FAQs for any itinerary you are considering or call a Concierge Agent for more information. You and your traveling party have the responsibility to select a trip appropriate to your abilities and interests. By sending us a deposit, you represent and certify that you and all members of your traveling party: (i) have selected a vacation that is appropriate to your abilities and interests; and (ii) are free from any physical condition or disability that would create a hazard for you, the Adventure Guides or other Guests. Please also consult your doctor.

24) What is the smoking policy?
All Adventures by Disney vacations are non-smoking. However, there will be opportunities for stops and ample on-your-own time, allowing you the opportunity to smoke if you wish. We ask that smokers be considerate of the non-smokers around you. Requests for smoking/non-smoking rooms cannot be guaranteed. Please note that due to either local laws or historic preservation codes, many itineraries include hotels that are non-smoking in all rooms as well as public spaces.

25) Are there cultural differences I should expect when traveling outside the U.S.?
Yes! Cultural differences vary from country to country and regionally within each country. While your Adventure Guides will assist in engaging you and your family in some of the more banal differences such as drinking coffee after dessert, or calling everyone your mate in Australia, following is a list that may be more material in making your destination choice. Please be cognizant of cultural differences that include but are not limited to:
-Late-night adult content is often on some television stations
-Topless sunbathing is quite common in Europe-especially in Mediterranean countries
-Public advertising (television, billboards, street posters) may include nudity
-English is not necessarily as widely spoken as some would believe. While most front-desk hotel staff speak English, restaurant servers, drivers, and porters will often speak limited English. Generally, English is more widely spoken in the more heavily-tourist locales. Regardless, your Adventure Guides and local experts can assist in most situations.

26) Are tips included?
Adventures by Disney has taken care of certain tips and gratuities for all included meals and activities such as tips for porters, housekeepers, drivers, activity providers, local experts, and dining room staff for included meals.
However, when dining on your own at a restaurant in a foreign country, a gratuity is usually included in the bill. If you feel you have received exceptional service, you may leave an additional gratuity - many choose to simply "round up". If you have any questions, your Adventures Guides should be able to assist you.
Gratuities for your Adventures Guides are not included and are customarily given at your discretion. If you feel that your Adventure Guides have provided excellent service, we suggest the following gratuity: Per Guest/Per Adventure guide/Per Day - $6-$9 USD.
For example:
-For a 7-day adventure, the Adventure Guide gratuity per guest, per Adventure Guide: $42-$63 USD.
-For a family of 4 for a 7-day adventure: $168-$252 USD per Adventure Guide. For 2 Guides, this is a total of: $336-$504 USD.

As an alternative to the hike, Guests can spend time at the Denali National Park Visitor's Center instead. 10) What ages are appropriate for this adventure?
While we welcome children ages 4 and up on our Alpine Magic trip, we recommend that children be at least 6 years old at the time of travel. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the vacation, extended hours of daily activity programming, number of internal transports between experiences, potential for extreme temperatures in the summer months, and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking, biking, and zip lining). Because each child is different, call a Concierge Agent to discuss whether this is the right trip for your kids.

While we welcome children ages 4 and up at the time of travel to discover the stories of the world with us, we recommend that children be at least 8 years old at the time of travel on our Enchanted China trip. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the vacation, extended hours of daily activity programming, number of internal transports between experiences, potential for extreme temperatures in the summer months, and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking) involved. Because each child is different, call a Concierge Agent to discuss whether this is the right trip for your kids.

11) What types of meals are served on this Adventures by Disney Trip?
Typically, breakfast is served buffet style and offer a wide variety of both American-style and Chinese options. Dinners and lunches usually include fish, meat, and pasta or rice entrées, vegetables along with desserts and fruit. While the menus have been planned to give you a taste of typical Chinese cuisine, they are always balanced with limited American fare. Some meals on this trip are served buffet style while others offer a limited-choice menu. Given the nature of group travel, we regret that á la carte menu choices are not available. Children-friendly choices are available at all meals. Menu items are subject to change due to the availability and seasonality of foods. In order to offer you and your family a bit of time to enjoy meals amongst yourselves, there are a few meals that are not included in the itinerary. These meals have been planned in towns or cities where you will have plenty of options available. If you have any questions or concerns about dining at any time during your vacation, your Adventure Guides will be happy to assist you.

15) What is the language and currency of this destination?
Language
Although Mandarin is the official language of China, many people speak Cantonese and other dialects. English is widely spoken in Hong Kong, although the predominant language is Cantonese. We have selected hotels throughout this itinerary, in part, for their staff's ability to communicate in limited English.
Currency
Chinese currency is called Renminbi (People's money), though it's usually abbreviated as RMB. The largest denomination of the RMB is the yuan. In Hong Kong, the currency is the Hong Kong Dollar (HK$).
U.S. dollars are not accepted for payment anywhere in China. Hotels and banks typically impose a 5% fee for currency exchange transactions. Using your debit card in local ATMs – widely available throughout the trip – is the most efficient way to obtain cash in China. Credit cards or debit cards are widely accepted in China in hotels, restaurants and department stores but cash is still the medium for local shops and small markets.

• Lima (sea level)
• June - October average temperatures: Highs in the mid to high 60s, lows in the high 50s to low 60s.

9) Should I be concerned about altitude?
Most of this adventure takes place at altitudes ranging from 8,000 feet above sea level to 11,200 feet above sea level. Cusco is located at about 11,200 feet above sea level. Because the adventure starts in the lower Sacred Valley (9,200 ft) and Machu Picchu (8,000 ft), you have a chance to get slightly acclimated before you reach the higher elevation of Cusco.
Altitude does affect some people. Individuals may initially experience some shortness of breath and heart pounding. Other symptoms include: headaches, loss of appetite, nausea and feeling weak and dizzy. Generally, the effects of altitude sickness are mitigated by drinking lots of water, resting periodically, avoiding alcohol and eating lightly. We strongly encourage you to consult with your physician to determine if this adventure is appropriate for you and whether prescription medications to prevent altitude sickness might benefit you.

Rafting on the Urubamba River (Class 2) is considered gentle. Bear in mind that most of the trip is at altitudes between 8,000 - 11,000 feet above sea level. The itinerary has been created purposely with the highest altitude (Cusco) towards the end of the adventure. While nearly all of the trip's featured activities are gentle if examined separately, the full range of activities requires a moderate amount of stamina in order to get the most of your vacation.

11) What ages are appropriate for this adventure?
While we welcome children ages 4 and up at the time of travel to discover the stories of the world with us, we recommend that children be at least 8 years old at the time of travel on our Sacred Valleys and Incan Cities trip. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the vacation, high altitude at the destination, extended hours of daily activity programming, number of internal transports between experiences, potential for extreme temperatures in the summer months, and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking on uneven surfaces, up and down stairs, and cobblestone sidewalks) involved. Because each child is different, call a Concierge Agent to discuss whether this is the right trip for your kids.

12) What types of meals are served on this Adventures by Disney Trip?
Typically, breakfast is served buffet style. Some lunches and dinners are also served buffet style, while others offer a limited-choice menu. Dinners and lunches usually include fish, meat, and pasta or rice entrées, soup, vegetables, desserts and fruit, along with a chance to try Peruvian specialties. While the menus have been planned to give you a taste of typical Peruvian cuisine, they are always balanced with limited American fare.

Language
The primary language spoken in Peru is Spanish. You will also hear the indigenous language of Quechua spoken in the Cusco area. Your Adventure Guide can help you with any language issues.
Currency
The monetary currency in Peru is the Nuevo Sol, though many businesses accept American dollars. In cities, ATM machines are available to obtain cash in the local currency, and credit or debit cards are usually accepted. ATMs are scarce in the Sacred Valley, so guests should be sure to obtain some local currency upon arrival in Lima -- the airport has convenient exchange booths in the baggage claim area. No ATMs are available in the Sacred Valley and ATMs/ banks are not available until Day 6 in Cusco.

In general the country enjoys a sunny climate all year round. Cape Town and the southernmost part of the Western Cape have a mild, changeable winter— the time most rainfall occurs, and a warm to hot summer. The winters in the interior regions of the country, including the Kapama Game Reserve, are dry and warm, although sometimes chilly at night. Summers are hot with more frequent rain.

10) What ages are appropriate for this adventure?
We recommend that children be at least 8 years old at the time of travel on our Safari to South Africa trip. Last but not least, the game viewing at Kapama for the final three days of the trip involves close encounters with large wild animals such as lions, leopards, buffalo, hippos and rhinoceroses. This requires a level of maturity to understand that sitting still and staying quiet is essential for fully enjoying this unique experience. Therefore, children should be a minimum of 6 years old for the game drives. Because each child is different, please call a Concierge Agent to discuss whether this is the right trip for your kids.
